Using this website, submitting an inquiry, or attending an educational session does not create an attorney-client relationship with HavenLaw, Warchief Bench, or any affiliated attorney. A relationship is formed only through a signed engagement agreement. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through this site.

Content on this site describes our institution and our areas of work. It is general information, not legal advice about any specific situation. Legal outcomes depend on particular facts and on applicable law, which changes. We do not predict or guarantee results in any matter.
Jurisdiction and sovereignty
Tribal sovereignty is a substantial and well-established body of law. It does not, however, automatically displace or override state or federal authority in any particular dispute. Jurisdictional questions are fact-specific and must be analyzed matter by matter.
Educational programs and licensure
Haven Law School provides education. It does not confer licensure or authorization to practice law. Bar eligibility in California is determined solely by the State Bar of California under its rules; our Law Office Study program is designed to align with the California Law Office Study Program requirements for participants who qualify, and completion guarantees no admission to any examination or to the bar.
Tribal admission
Each tribal nation sets its own rules for admission and practice before its courts. Completion of Tribal Bar Education or any other Haven program does not authorize practice in any tribal jurisdiction. Only the relevant tribal authority can grant that authorization.
Restoration and reinstatement
The Second Chance Attorney Fellowship supports preparation and supervised service. Decisions about reinstatement, admission, and character and fitness rest exclusively with the applicable licensing authority. No program outcome is promised or implied.
No investment, tax, or insurance offering

Warchief Enterprises
Warchief Enterprises is a Section 17 tribal corporation supporting economic development and enterprise initiatives. Its authority is defined and limited by its federal charter and applicable law. It holds no powers beyond that charter, and no exemption from otherwise applicable law or taxation is claimed or implied.
